torii moon garden
This is a recollection of my trip, written over the last few days. The text isn't polished at all, moving from past tense to present, but I wanted to get it out while it's still fresh on my mind. It happened during Torii Moon Garden, and psytrance event in the woods of Bc. Torii being the gate that separate the two world, a gate that I crossed many time during that event.
I don't remember too much the beginning. I had too many micro dose that turned into a macro dose. I was too dizzy to dance, so I went to chill.

and so it begins...
The friend showed up at my place, a beautiful girl from Australia. She is visiting Canada, loves to dance, she is very fun, smiling and present. She drives me in town so I can do some shopping.
I grabbed some food. A few dried sausage, a bred, carrots, some sunflower seeds. Fairly random, but a good foundation when you have nothing to eat.
I try to buy a tarp for the hammock. It's fairly expensive, but I though I had a lot of money in the bank. I realized I was really broke, so I returned the tarp a few minutes later.

Conditioning
I am afraid this evening's post will be a brief phone post, as I am too exhausted to crack open my laptop.
Since it was pay day yesterday, my partner and I spontaneously decided to go out for dinner after work. We went to our favourite Italian restaurant and took our time, chatting over some delicious food.
It was a much needed treat after a difficult few weeks juggling our increasingly tense jobs and, besides, I wanted to treat my partner to a nice dinner to celebrate her poetry being published by a magazine in New York.
As soon as I got home, I realised I was l going to have to find my ID card for work tomorrow. I didn't take it with me this morning since I couldn't find it. I subsequently had the ever loving crap kicked out of me by the receptionist when I clocked in.

Lagrange v1.21: Inline Prompts, Gopher-over-TLS, UI Improvements
Ever since the first version of Lagrange, when the server has requested input from the client, a modal dialog has appeared where the user can enter text. Why a modal prompt? While this is a distinct back-and-forth between the client and server, it does not involve changes to page contents, so it exists kind of outside the normal model of browsing: the user has effectively left the page since they opened a link and are now at a URL that resulted in a query prompt, however they haven't received a new document so there is nothing else to switch to yet (except an empty page). The modality is a cheap and straightforward way to prevent the user from accidentally performing any actions on the (now obsolete) document being shown.

Tank break
Opponents in computer games may have a tank to break, which in turn requires bringing sufficient damage to break the tank, and so certain values end up codified into guides and regurgitated without much if any thought. And thus gospel is born. A quest for those with too much free time on their hands might be to defeat the boss using as little DPS as possible, though the downside here is that the time to kill may increase dramatically. In extreme cases this may require using a c-clamp to hold down the attack button so more productive things can be done whilst the record for "least damage, most time" is gained. C-clamps may also be used to grind up XP values where the game permits such cheese: the monster only despawns when it hits the floor, so if you can use floating attacks and bounce it off the edge of the level, who knows how much HP or overflow bugs you might attain?
