Identi.ca is Practically Dead, Just Like All Social Control Media (Eventually)
The site of RMS (online since the 1990s) has been offline for about 3 days. We don't know what's taking so long for it to come back online.
To RMS, his site is like Social Control Media but a lot better. He controls everything there and it's in plain HTML, in static files.
From what I can gather, Identi.ca is still online but in effect it is part of the Social Control Media graveyard.
The second link above leads to "404 Not Found" with "Registrations disabled for new users."
Enshittification. It went south more than 13 years ago. What's left is a token, a placeholder of sorts (for Evan's CV).
All Social Control Media is a waste of time. It's only a matter of time before (or question of when) people realise this. █
