A few weeks ago we wrote about secret shutdowns at Microsoft, citing this post about Microsoft CSS layoffs. Since then we've seen one comment deleted and one added to say: "I’ve seen some LinkedIn posts that some layoffs happened today at Microsoft. How big was the layoff?"
Well, they just don't announce these, but they happen all the time, sometimes together with shutdowns. Folks who think Microsoft isn't firing loads of people this months and won't do the same next month (days and weeks before the bogus "results") simply aren't paying attention or aren't speaking to people inside Microsoft. Their colleagues (peers) know all about the layoffs, they just fear telling the "outside world" about it (in case they get caught, then punished).
