Efforts to Cancel Matt Mullenweg Have Made Us More Sympathetic Towards Mullenweg and More Sceptical of the People Who Run Automattic (Named After Mullenweg)
Published yesterday: Matt Mullenweg Got the 'Linus Treatment' or 'RMS Treatment'
To me, Automattic ("matt" for the first name of Mullenweg, the founder of Automattic; think of "linux" and "linus") is now suspicious and worthy of scepticism, just like the so-called 'Linux' Foundation.
Automattic will promote slop for money (i.e. sell 'user content' to serial, reckless plagiarists) and will abandon software freedom while trying to marginalise its founder, who is an avid supporter of GPL/copyleft.
We are still "Standing in Solidarity With Matt Mullenweg". Mullenweg, unlike Automattic, is not "in it for the money", he just loves what he's doing (or loved it until the Microsoft-connected lawfare began).
Two weeks ago we published: Stallman Has Explained Slop is "Marketing Hype Campaign" and Torvalds Agreed. The Difference is the Bribes. (made to 'Linux' Foundation) █
