General Assembly Covers EPO Strikes on Thursday, September 17th (2026)

Two days ago: EPO's Local Staff Committee Munich Organises General Assembly Next Week, the Goal is to Oust the Corrupt President and Derail His Unlawful Agenda

The EPO's staff representation at The Hague has asked people to join an upcoming online session about industrial actions. Reproduced below is the message that contains an outline or agenda:

Thursday 17th September, 11am: General Assembly of all staff - update on industrial actions

Dear colleagues,

On Thursday 17^th September at 11am, the Local Staff Committee The Hague will hold an online General Assembly for all staff to provide an update on the ongoing industrial actions concerning the Salary Adjustment Procedure (SAP).

The meeting will include: 

• information on participation in and impact of the industrial actions; 

• information on upcoming milestones;

• outlook for the coming months;

• advice for handling productivity measures enforced by management. 

 At a time of continued social unrest and increasing pressure on staff employment conditions, it is important that staff remains informed and engaged. We therefore encourage all colleagues to attend.

The Local Staff Committee Munich invites all staff to a General Assembly on Thursday 17 September, at 14.00 hrs to be held via [...].

Agenda:

• The President’s Re-Election – How much will it cost staff? 

• AOB

The Administrative Council will meet on 13 and 14 October to decide on the re-election of Mr Campinos for a third mandate. The costs for staff include the new salary erosion procedure adopted in June. More is coming: a change of the distribution key of renewal fees to the advantage of Member States. This will impact the EPO finances and require staff to pay again the price.

The trade union SUEPO continues with the industrial action plan to fight the erosion of salaries, pensions and benefits with

• Work-to-Rule actions,

• All week days are days of “rolling strike” where staff is free to strike

• Mondays and Fridays remain “recommended days” for a maximum number of staff to strike

If this is what they do when all indicators are green, what will they do when they are red?!

They cannot ignore us if we stand together
