In Some Parts of Microsoft 50% of All Staff Subjected to Layoffs, Media Pretends Only 0.1% of Staff Are Removed

Days ago we saw claims that some teams in Microsoft saw ~25% of staff placed on a PIP (a form of silent layoff). To quote again: "Microsoft gave out substantially higher number of "needs improvement" ratings this review season. My source said as high as 20-25% in some teams. Many of these employees are on their way to being managed out. If the company needs to further reduce its headcount, the right way to do it is with layoffs and a full severance package."

Some hours ago I saw many new reports which say some studios saw 50% of the staff removed.
Looking at the mainstream media, one may be tempted to believe only 200-300 people at Microsoft or about 0.1% get laid off. This really says a lot about the state of today's so-called 'media'. █
