Slop-ware Is Not Newsworthy

Yesterday we shared 4 links regarding Adobe-like 'slop clones' of widely used software; we put 2 links here and 2 links there. There's no lack of coverage, but some slop-centric sites failed to point out this is utterly worthless slop (we won't name it, nor will we name with it copies). Software patents still apply, we're reminded (Adobe has many patents on its software), and there's no way to get rid of them all as long as the Linux Foundation et al are in bed with companies like Adobe. Moreover, "LLM output is ineligible for copyright," we're told, "and thus this vibe coded slop cannot be OSS" as "LLMs are exceptionally loquacious and create large code bases which do who-knows-what in addition to whatever they might appear to do which is a security disaster on top of the unnecessarily large code base (every line of code is a liability)..."
From what I could personally gather (or find), this slop-ware got promoted or at least mentioned by sites that habitually promote proprietary software, e.g. OMG!Ubuntu. █
