When Computers "Expire" Because Certificates Expire
MinceR has just called it "planned obsolescence" and admfubar has asked, "next big jump in Linux use coming soon???"

A fast-climbing GNU/Linux market share the likely outcome
We previously explained that incompetent people who promote Restricted Boot for Microsoft are conflating expiring certificates with "security". No wonder, their aim isn't security, they're just advancing Microsoft's business agenda on Microsoft's payroll.
The news above demonstrates the sort of mindset they work towards. Last month we showed that "Computers Freeze Because of UEFI Restricted Boot" and Restricted Boot basically caused Ubuntu downloads to become unavailable.
People who promote Restricted Boot are liars. They lie for a living.
In the past we wrote about how the Linux Foundation rendered dysfunctional many old computers, which would no longer be able to access much of the Web because of an expiring root certificate.
These people try to sell new things by intentionally breaking old things. Their go-to excuse is "security", but at the same time they promote back doors. █
