During Strikes and Industrial Actions Lots of EPO Staff Organised Yesterday and Will Do the Same Next Week
Nobody in the media covers this. This oversight is intentional.

The EPO's Local Staff Committee The Hague (LSCTH) organised a session which took place less than a day ago. In their own words:
SAP, AC & BFC, Pensions
Dear colleagues,
On Thursday 5th November at 11:00hrs, the Local Staff Committee The Hague will hold an online General Assembly for all staff.
The meeting will include:
Salary adjustment procedure results
AC and BFC feedback
Developments on pensions
At a time of continued social unrest and increasing pressure on staff employment conditions, it is important that staff remains informed and engaged. We therefore encourage all colleagues to attend.
Date: Thursday 5th November, 11:00hrs
A day earlier they sent a reminder with more more details:

The LSCTH further reminds of the ongoing industrial actions organised by SUEPO with:
Work-To-Rule actions
All week days are days of “rolling strike” where staff is free to strike
Upcoming anchor days: Fridays 20 & 27 November and 11 & 18 December
And in case your manager is putting you under pressure, please read the updated “Guide to production pressure during industrial actions" by SUEPO Munich, and do not hesitate to contact us for assistance.
Kind regards,
Your LSCTH
While we don't (yet) have details about what went on yesterday, but we expect something like slides to come out soon, we do know that colleagues in Munich plan something similar 6 days from now, "Thursday 12 November at 14.00 hrs"
The Local Staff Committee Munich (LSCMN) has sent an invitation to all staff for a "General Assembly" and here are items they will be discussing:
On the agenda: EPO Presidency - Each year of Mr Campinos amounts to -1% salary erosion
Dear Colleagues,
The Local Staff Committee Munich invites all staff to a General Assembly on Thursday 12 November, at 14.00 hrs to be held via MS Teams.
Agenda:
Salary erosion procedure
Pension overcontributions
Feedback from Council meetings – The President’s Re-Election Part II
AOB
In addition to the salary erosion procedure adopted in June 2026, the pension schemes are now overfunded at 120.5%, well above the target of 105%. As a consequence, delegations have now seized the opportunity to have the Council discuss the distribution of EPO surpluses to Member States in the next meeting of 9 and 10 December. During the same meeting, delegates will also vote in a confidential session on Mr Campinos’ re-election for a third term. EPO management show no intention of returning the unnecessary savings to staff. Instead, their priority is to secure Mr Campinos’ re-election. Once again, EPO staff will pay the price.
There's a lot about the EPO Presidency.
We still have (as noted last night) a lot of material connected to that.
Actual end of term is in 2028, but decision on the EPO Presidency will be made in December.
There really needs to be a genuine election, not a reappointment. █
