The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

master.debian.org updating scripts, &c

I've sort of updated most of the automatically-run scripts to run on
master.debian.org. My test runs are still going and chiark is about
to go down for backup in 5 minutes so I'll have to interrupt them, but
I hope they'll be OK. I'll look at things more tomorrow.

Ian M.: I couldn't see what was going on in `mkdosnames', so I put an
echo and exit 1 at the top. You'll have to fix that yourself. I've
put `doschk', `pkgname', `dpkg-scanpackages' (used to be npdpkg) et al
in master:~iwj/public/bin. Please don't use `pkgname.c' - the pkgname
script in public/bin looks inside the .deb file using dpkg-deb to find
the package name.

Everything is run from master:~iwj/masterfiles/cron.daily, which gets
run out of cron at 23:52.

I've tried to arrange for the ls-lR file, the Contents files and the
Packages files not to be updated if they would be the same.

The mkcontents script now doesn't invoke `printf' for every file in
every package, but it's still rather slow.

If things look OK over the next few days I'll turn off my crontab on
ftp.debian.org and we can let the mirror copy the files over.

Ian M.: I have a lot of files in my chiark upload queue. What should
I do with them ? I can send them to master.debian.org's Incoming if
that's what you want. See below for a list of what's here.

Ian.
