The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

negociating with Richard Stallman

The guy just won't take "no" for an answer. You can see what I wrote
to him excerpted in his reply. I'm going to make another try and continue
to explain to him that we'd rather send patches to the upstream maintainer
and that "no" really means "no".

| From: Richard Stallman <rms@gnu.ai.mit.edu>
|
| > What is your objection to the approach I proposed, for producing
| > packages in both stripped and unstripped form?
|
| Because we don't think it's a good idea. It's just something that we'd
| be doing to appease FSF and Richard Stallman.
|
| Is that a bad thing? Is it bad to do a small amount of work to save
| the GNU project a large amount of work, or to enable the GNU project
| to do something which you don't happen to want to do?
|
| We're not going to make 70
| package maintainers change their scripts and rebuild their packages for
| that sort of reason.
|
| The change in the script is a one-liner, and the rebuilding of the
| packages could happen when and as they have some other occasion to do
| it. That would be hardly any extra work.
|
|
| What would you think of asking each Debian package maintainer
| to ask the developers of the program whether they would like
| users to get debugging symbols?
