The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

Copyright question

Hi,

I thought about packaging lyx for the Debian Linux distribution (unless
someone els is already working on it of course). Since lyx needs xforms to
compile I thought about packaging xforms, too. However, the copyright
prevents this:

>All files distributed in this package are
>copyright (c) 1995, 1996 by T.C. Zhao and Mark Overmars
>ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
>
>Permission to use, copy, and distribute this software in its entirety
>for non-commercial purposes and without fee, is hereby granted, provided
>that the above copyright notice and this permission notice appear
>in all copies and their documentation.
>
>This software is provided "as is" without expressed or implied
>warranty of any kind.
>
>You may not "bundle" and distribute this software with systems and/or
>other distribution media without prior consent of the authors.

Alternatively I could link lyx statically against xforms but I'm not sure if
this is legal according to this copyright.

Could you please tell me if we're allowed to do that?

Michael

P.S: This mail is CC'ed to the debian maintainer's mailing list.
