The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

Sorry, but I don't think that's the correct solution. This bug has been
reported since sysklogd 1.2 and since kernel 1.2.13. Neither the new
sysklogd version nor a newer kernel helped. But removing /dev/xconsole from
/etc/syslog.conf helped almost everytime (I had to upgrade to sysklogd 1.3,
too). I also have upgraded to sysklogd-1.3-4 without a single problem.
Here's my /etc/syslog.conf file:

# /etc/syslog.conf: syslogd(8) configuration file.
# $Id: syslog.conf,v 3.3 1995/02/24 23:44:14 imurdock Exp $
# Changed MM Thu Jan 11 09:31:24 MET 1996

# You still have to use tabs here!

#news.crit /var/log/news/news.crit
#news.err /var/log/news/news.err
#news.notice /var/log/news/news.notice

# console I usually leave idle.

# The named pipe /dev/xconsole is for the `xconsole' utility. To use it,
# you must invoke `xconsole' with the `-file' option:
#
# $ xconsole -file /dev/xconsole [...]
#auth.*;daemon.*;mail.*;news.crit;news.err;news.notice;*.=debug;*.=info;*.=notice;*.=warn;cron.none	|/dev/xconsole

*.err;*.alert;*.crit;*.warn /var/log/messages

*.alert;kern.err;daemon.err;*.crit; `operator, root'
