The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

Agenda for 1.2...

Before we begin working on 1.2, I think we need to figure out exactly
what it is we're working towards. Otherwise, we have a hard time
deciding when we're done.

Other than the obvious (more packages, fewer bugs), here are the
things that I remember as having been discussed in the last several
months:

 * New source file format

 * Single build-tree capability

 * RPM/RedHat compatability

 * 1 or 2 disk install

 * New fullscreen package management interface

 * X-based package management

 * Support for building .deb files without being root

 * Default shadow support

Please note that this list is undoubtedly not comprehensive, and the
fact that I listed something doesn't mean I am volunteering or even
endorsing it.

If people will email me other items (preferably just concise
one-liners as above), I will keep a list. After a reasonable time, we
can decide what will go into the next release, whether by Bruce's
choice or votetaking or whatever.

Mike.
