The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

Re: so-called Linux advocates

A slight revision of my thoughts on improving the Linux advocacy
situation:

Instead of forming a group or mailing list, I'm going to create a web
page in a similar vein to Lars' announcement as a public statement of
many upper-level Linux developers (assuming they want to attach their
names). This is like saying "4 out of 5 Linux hackers don't flame in
the name of Linux (so should you)".

The reasoning goes something like this:

 * Most Linux advocates are newcomers to Linux.
 * Most Linux advocates look up to Linux developers (esp. Linus)
 * Linus and co. are usually silent about advocacy (leading by
example). It might help if Linux developers take a more active
   stance.

Thoughts?

Dan
