The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

The mess regarding XFree 3.2 and Debian 1.2

We need to straighten this out NOW, especially as the crossposting on
debian-user has confused people. I've seen the public announcement on
debian-announce, this is fine for the time being. Meanwhile, what's going
on?

Bruce - in one post you were talking about terminating the project, the
implications of which are really quite horrendous. We don't need to lose
any developers over this, let alone compromise everything we've worked
towards.

Ian - I can understand why you felt it necessary to issue an ultimatum
over the X security issue, but it has caused mayhem. If you feel you
should have more say in co-ordinating the Debian project, maybe as
security authority, there are better ways of saying it.

Sadly, it seems you've brought this on yourself by not issuing a policy
statement earlier on - Ian was wrong to make the ultimatum that he did,
but it should be obvious to everyone that this is an issue which he (and
many others) feel very strongly about. Rob Browning in article
<"fFhFc1.0.vo3.xJpdo"@master.debian.org> has basically said what the
situation is, but apparently too late to stop this blowing up.

Bruce, are you referring to private email here? Nobody else seems to know
what you're referring to.

What happens next?

Jon.
