The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

Re: dpkg/dselect changes needed

Hi Mark --
You asked:
> Is there any documentation as to the internal .deb format?

The .deb files either are or certainly act like 'ar' files at present.
I believe the plan is that this might change, so users are not actually
welcome to know what the file structure is. In any case, if you issue
something like
  ar -t dpkg_1.4.0.8.deb
you'll see
  debian-binary
  control.tar.gz
  data.tar.gz

The first file is just a short 1-liner that says what version of the
binary package is being used (at least I think that's what that number is).
The second contains all the control files: control, *inst, *rm.
The third contains the filesystem that is to be installed.

Sorry if this isn't what you were asking.
