The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

As much as I want to bad-mouth Ian for the over-complexity of dpkg.
He /did/ think of everything! dpkg was designed to handle every case.
Because that task is so complicated, dpkg needs a lot of maintainance.

Time and again Red Hat has chosen simplifications in design to get to
market fast. But their tradeoffs make certain types of upgrades hard.

But dpkg often fails us when upgrading too. We have some serious
problems that need addresing.

I hope we don't waste any more time considering a switch to rpm. We
have enough to work on without introducing that complexity.
