The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

Re: new maintainers

New developers does not necessary mean new Debian members. There
is tendency to lump them together and apply for both identical admission
requirements. I propose that new members submit a resume and it is up to
the team leader to offer the job.

This method opens the door to lots of volunteers who do not have to
package "a simple game" in order to get in, for their jobs may have
nothing to do with packaging. Many positions come to mind: list-owners, legal
advisors (not necessary lawyers, but copyright advisors), testers, designers,
admins, html authors, security experts, security bug fixers,
documentation, managers, C programmers, perl programmers, and more. Those
applying for packaging development should simply meet whatever requirements
are set for their particular job.

It makes little sense to have one uniform policy. According to current
proposals, if this distinction not made those who volunteer for non-packaging
positions will have to sign at the door that they have read and understood
the Policy Manual. We should have different requirements for different jobs
as specified by the teams, which include some General Admission requirements
for all (like the Confidential Security Clearance, pgp number, etc.).
