The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

Re: Fixing X problems for 1.3.0...

Thanks for the hint.

Mark, I hope you don't mind if I step forward this way. IMHO, we should
try (all together) to fix the 1.3.0 problems ASAP and _before_ 1.3.1 is
out. The fix seams to be very simple and since a lot of people will
install 1.3.0 in the next days we better replace the X packages with fixed
ones and remove the section about "installation problems" from our
READMEs.

So, I just uploaded new X packages to master to

	~schwarz/x11/

(I'll attach md5sums below.)

I did the following changes:

  - xbase: "xdm-shadow" has been copied onto "xdm".
  - xserver-*: added "Depends: xbase (>= 3.2-6.1)"

I label the new packages version "3.2-6.1" according our policy. I hope
these changes fix the two installation problems, namely

  - one can't log in with xdm after and upgrade
  - xbase has to be installed before xserver-* is configured

Note, that I just tried these packages on my 1.3 system. I did not yet
have the possibility to do a fresh install or an 1.2->1.3 upgrade. I would
appreciate to hear any results of others.

Now, it would be nice if the Debian Testing Team (and everyone else,
of course) could review the packages ASAP. After that, the packages should
be installed in "bo", which should be called 1.3.0.1 or similar. I think
that this fix has HIGH PRIORITY and we should not wait 10 days to get it
done.

Any comments?

Thanks,

Chris
