The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

Since we want the vendors to put this on their packaging - I would suggest
leaving it to them to design the logo (one logo). Once we get a few
vendors to sign up, we could facilitate this by creating a mailing list
for them and helping to moderate. Then they could get their best
professional artists on staff to design a nice corporate looking logo,
and decide on a standard for themselves. That's probably what they want,
anyways.

The Linux Journal folks already have a number of hardware manufacturers
that are using their "Cool it works with Linux" logo. Those manufacturers
would probably be a good place to start.

We should also keep a central registry of who has signed onto the
bandwagon. And if we could get a respected leader of the hardware
industry (ie. Bob Metcalfe, Andy Grove) to lead the charge, that would
be great. Plus, they'd probably have some ideas of what should be
written into the contract so that it isn't too difficult to sign up for.

Cheers,

 - Jim
