The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

I fully agree to these points.

However, the last four weeks (while Guy was on vacation) have shown that
he has really an important job to do in the project and thus, he should
have a "backup person" like everyone else here.

I know that the archive and all those nice scripts are complicated and
that's why I think a "backup archive maintainer" is _essential_. Just
consider that Guy is unavailable for a few weeks (either accidentially or
planned) and we have to remove a package with security bugs, install an
important package to "stable" or whatever.

If noone else volunteers for the job, I would offer to do this. Note,
that the backup maintainer will probably never touch anything. He/she
should know the scripts on master, how to perform the standard operations,
and have archive admin permissions so that he/she could help when Guy is
unavailable. (I'm already familiar with some of the archive maintainance
jobs since I change a lot of things on my mirror for my Debian CD-ROMs.)

Thanks,

Chris
