The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

I think I was mistaken - Bruce is right; the big problem here is the
requirement to sign a license... However, the next thought that comes to
mind is redhat's 'contrib', where they place rpm's contributed by others,
with the clear idea that they are *not official* (doubtless they make this
quite clear to avoid problems). I really prefer the idea of downloading
software that is official, and probably a bit more secure, but is this
something we want to explore? A non-official directory? It might be a
good way to distribute something like gated untill we can convince them to
change.

What do others think? Maybe Vitamin D could be a subdirectory for
*unofficial* .deb's?

I kind of like the idea of something 'availabe where Debian is', in the
way that redhat's contrib is, instead of having totally seperate mirror
sites.

Anyway, maybe I should just be quiet and go back to my perl code - it's so
much simpler than all this:-)
