The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

This either puts a great burden on the package developer, or
it puts the user into a strait jacket with few options unless they
are wizards who know how to tweak config files, etc.

I defy you to create a valid sendmail.cf file without help
from sendmailconfig. Asking people to remember to run dozens of
different config programs piecemeal is not simpler.

If the queries are comlex, we should work to get a help option
into them (Y/N/H/?) instead of just Y/N.

Novices are not idiots. They just lack information. Let us not
patronize them, or create second class users by not giving
them the right to tailor their machine.

The source codes and formal descriptions [for DES] were publically
available in USSR long before that posting. I've first seen it being
a student and hacking some Unix sources about 1982. Isn't it stupid
to continue insisting on export restrictions of the well-known
 technology? Vadim Antonov (avg@hq.demos.su)
