The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

I pretty much agree with everything you've said here so far, and am very
happy to have a leader that feels the same way about free software that I
do, but, while I don't share the sentiments if Paul, Chris, Alex, etc, I
can see how statements like this might be perceived as 'unfriendly'
towards the proprietary software community.

I think we have made our opinions on non-free software pretty clear, and
there isn't really much of a reason to focus on this particular case. "We
do not like proprietary software, we would prefer it if you would use free
software, and if possible would like to do our part to help you free your
software." End of story. If they are not interested in making their
software %100 free, then we will do what we can to make sure there is
*free* software with the same functionality. And that is our business,
not theirs. I don't really feelthat beyond that we should really be
talking much about our particular likes and dislikes.
