The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

ssh should only create a new /etc/ssh/ssh_host_key if you don't already have
one, so re-installing should not have any effect (or you just found a bug ;-)

Oh, wait a second, was the old version of ssh truly ancient ? If so it used
to have the host key file in /etc and I seem to remember occasionally having a
problem where it didn't move it from there to /etc/ssh properly, before
deciding to create a new key.

If you move the old keys into the new location all should be well.

Cheers, Phil.
