The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

Re: "purity" package

Hi,

I don't think that the first amendment (right to free speech,
for you non americans out there) can't be employed selectively. (Who
gets to decide what's "proper"? Who gets to write the newspeak?)
 Remember Flint?

Put lables on it, ask in bright bold blinking letters at
installation, but don't start censoring packages that push your
 particular buttons.

Me, I'm as straight-laced as the next guy; I find Mr Robin
Williams and Dennis Miller, in their club acts, to be too, umm,
raunchy, for my liking, too, but I'd fight for their right to
dispense their kind of humor to consenting audiences.

Where do you draw the line? (personally, I find vi and python
offensive and morally indensible ;-). People have already pointed out
possible objection to the King James version of the bible (which may
not be qiute as far fetched as people might think).

Nip this right in the bud. Create a separate section. Ask for
interactive preinsts. But don't bann commonly available packages on
content. (I haven't seen this since the late 80's or something, so
 it's been around a while).
