The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

Quite.

Bruce is entirely right, we have let a lot of riff-raff into the ranks
of the developers. I think this was necessary for the continued
success of the project, firstly so that we can stay open, and secondly
to add extra manpower. What we need to do is direct that sometimes
less-than-highly-skilled manpower where it can do the most good.

Bruce, rest assured that I'll deal with the riff-raff.

Christian Schwarz: please continue with the policy manager position.
You've done a good job so far.

Make decisions by fiat on your own recognisance if you feel the need
to; if the discussion on debian-policy isn't going anywhere then
either ignore the issue (telling people to stop spouting, if
necessary) until a consensus appears, or make the decision according
to rough consensus and your own views. When the technical committee
is formed it can review your decisions if they decide it is necessary.

Ian.
