The DOJ is filled with Microsoft cronies. It's a known fact, publicly confirmed even by renowned people in this field. This is not the first time that the DOJ discriminates against Google.

So, basically, by nixing this deal – which was not a buyout or takeover or anything – just Yahoo! selling ad space on their websites that I can tell, the DOJ has essentially doomed Yahoo! to either assimilation by MS, or perhaps a slow death.

How would that help competition, exactly?
