MS-Office for Apple is also quite a success. All Linux vendors partnering with MS make good business.

So you really have to ‘believe’ in Roy like you believe in a prophet…

Don’t forget to hand in your brain on the way in.

It’s totally under Microsoft’s control (and has been since their deal).

http://www.news.com/2100-1001-246982.html

“Microsoft has the option of directing Corel to translate some or all of the .Net framework from its Windows operating system to Linux.”
[...]
“Microsoft has an option to port .Net to Linux if they choose to develop a Linux strategy,” said Corel spokeswoman Louise Hanlon.

The Securities and Exchange Commission filing states that “Corel hereby grants Microsoft an option for Corel to Port some portion or all of the .Net Framework from the Windows Platform to the Linux Platform.”

If the work goes ahead, Microsoft will own the software–in other words, Corel essentially has been hired to do the work–the company said while detailing Microsoft’s investment in Corel. “

Well the name is changed like they wanted, can someone tell me how this is such a great example on how MS not always wins?

Thinking only in terms of Microsoft/Apple/Novell no one needs to “apply”…
But here where I live we call this kind of move: “Shuffle and Play again!”
I can remember what’s happened in the 90′s with these MS “agreements”.

Lets try to make a VISUAL (sort of algebraic) description to find the winner:

Novell Microsoft
Microsoft Apple

It’s the “virtualization” of the software patents applied exclusively to Microsoft!
