The thing is, law prevents publications from suggesting it (they can get sued). This is the type of thing that kept Madoff safe while people snitched on him. Nobody would listen until he turned himself in.

Goldman Sachs harassed its critics litigiously too (they sued Mike Morgan IIRC) before the S.E.C. and others actually sued.
