* Approximately no-one on .NET uses it – anyone developing in .NET just hosts on Windows.
* There are zero compelling Unix server apps in Mono.
* There are a few desktop Unix apps in Mono, all of which are toys and all of which are widely derided as fat and slow.
* People wanting this sort of thing on Unix use Java, which has approximately nothing on the desktop but completely owns the server for commercial production use.

Which is an RDBMS, or Relational Database management system.

It’s not FOSS, and was not developed by FOSS, and was developed well before FOSS ever existed. So who is copying who here ?
