They tried it for over a year with RedHat, until RedHat finally did say a firm “no”, which is when they then called up Novell and found someone so very eager to sell out their own users, and to do it so very quickly.

If it’s old news, it wasn’t widely reported at all. I know Microsoft tried this with Red Hat, which is US based.
