When people’s lives depend on Microsoft’s survival, then it means health authorities made a colossal mistake.

Microsoft can go out of business, the NHS cannot. Buying into HealthSpace is like buying a “KIN” phone.

However, long-awaited independent evaluation last week confirmed suspicions that the take-up of HealthSpace has been tiny. In fact, researchers found it nearly impossible to recruit enough users to make a meaningful study

Everyone expects doctors and hospitals to keep records and be able to transfer them when needed. No one wants the burden of taking care of these things. Because there is no real demand for this service even provided without cost, Microsoft’s move is a pure power grab.
