No one in their right mind would consider Microsoft a marketing company. Microsoft’s incompetence at marketing shows up time and time again, for example:

1) Seinfield Commercials
2) Windows 95 “Start me Up” commericals
3) MSN butterfly commercials

The only reason that Microsoft has the market share that they do, is that they negotiate with the OEMS to prevent other operating systems from being installed. If it wasn’t for that, they’d have diddly.

No, they will cut programmers first. Microsoft knows what is important.

A cynic would say that the core of the company is marketing and law, so programmers are just a luxury.
