How sad it is to see that some people in the GNU/Linux world are gullible enough to be fooled by Microsoft’s PR machine.

Even sadder is just how crazy of an argument people will make to justify their sniveling cowardice of denying the existence of an enemy. At a relevant point in a conversation with a Buddhist group, I pointed out how the evil of pacifism before World War II enabled Hitler. A Buddhist monk–Cambodian, raised in France–claimed that if the French had resisted the Nazi regime earlier, that the French themselves would have killed the Jews. The argument is absurd since virulent anti-Semitism was not a major force in French politics at the time. But these spineless geldings believe that resisting evil is evil and will give any excuse to cave into evil. No doubt there are pacifist advocates of FOSS who will try their darnedest to beat this Buddhist monk at bad arguments for not resisting Microsoft’s evil.
