It’s got to be a difficult PR move from M$ to find a way to save face while dropping .NOT and moving to their version of C++. They are probably trying to avoid the Osborne effect, if nothing else, as they prepare to dump .NOT. The new problem is that their version of C++ is kind of special and not like regular C++.
