This encourages advancement for those both best able to do so at their co-workers expense and those best able to group-think with their managers. Hence Microsoft generally tends to promote the most sociopathic individuals, and not necessarily the most skilled or competent ones.

Some want to work with Microsoft, or think they should just be ignored – but history shows both are dangerous. And if all you have to fight with is metaphorical sticks, why not use them?

I think the anonymous poster summed up one of the more distasteful aspects of the microsoft religion though.
