I suspect that most patent trolls could suffer something of a cash flow problem most of the time and an award against them of millions of dollars in costs might be enough to put many of them out of business permanently. Even Intellectual Vultures seemed to be having something of a cash flow problem, recently.

If these trolls start walking away seriously out of pocket after losing each frivolously attempted shake-down scam, it just might put a bit of a chill on the entire racket.
