schestowitz | "Just a quick bunch of notes before I edit the wiki. Changes in Python may prove tricky for Zenoss, or so I've heard (server side). They are also an Open Core company, thus some features will be behind a sort of 'paywall' (over time it makes pricing unpredictable, too). On my sites I use Nagios, which is nice because we are also using it right now on xxxx's systems. AFAIK, OpenNMS is very adamant, idealogical and proud about | Nov 10 09:46 |

schestowitz | Setting up PGP was always the most PITA for me, but usually I just grab the .ssh dir these days when migrating upgrading. In Thunderbird, I stay with 3.x. SSH is really scary to newbies and even advanced users can find it confusing. I actually wrote a .bashrc file that forces it to have the session alive... this has run through ~ for several years now. Very inelegant. | Nov 10 16:24 |
