schestowitzBoth my  ankles got ***edJan 18 02:18
schestowitzRight now things are improving because I took a day off (no running), so it's not chronic. Next week I'll have to build up strength (for challenge #2 in Mr. Fitness)... I had more than a whole chicken today for protein. I should be in good shape soonJan 18 02:18
schestowitzOne seems to have healed today, but the other is still recuperating. Tomorrow I must do a big practice run and I'll be gentle. I over-trained. 6 hours of running in 3 days... on noneven ground near a river.Jan 18 02:19
schestowitzI am in very good shape now (my abs are much better because I'm in 'cardio' mode' for the run).Jan 18 02:23

schestowitzToday my feet felt a little better, but when I started walking I could feel my  ankles again, so I first sought help from a friend who runs marathons and triathlons. He gave me some advice, but I later went to a physiotherapist as well and she too gave some advice. Later on I did some short practice runs, but I should really just give it a rest and change my shoes.Jan 18 17:16
schestowitzHopefully everything will have healed by the weekend. I also removed my moustache today (it was about time) and I seem to have dropped some weight owing to the training, which makes the muscles much more defined.Jan 18 17:16

schestowitz> do you initiate these high res triangulation by the result you get fromJan 18 20:37
schestowitz> the low res?Jan 18 20:37
schestowitzThere are 9 levels, adjusted according to m, the number of sample size (300 in the latest few experiments). It's the number of levels in the multi-resolution hierarchy. At the finest level there are typically  15999 faces and 8101 vertices (in older experiments we had just about ~2000 and in recent ones there were ~4000)Jan 18 20:37

schestowitzThe press release says that, according to Red Hat, a law change caused by SOPA and PIPA “reduces freedom of expression, increases cybersecurity risk, or undermines the dynamic, innovative global Internet."Jan 18 21:50
schestowitzCurrently, here in Europe, some members of the European Commission are trying to legalise software patents through the back door, the unitary patent. They are being deceived by people from the patents industry. Would it possible for Red Hat to also submit something to tackle this issue and inform members of parliament? Something to that effect that broadening the reach and scope of patents “reduces freedom of expression and Jan 18 21:50
schestowitzundermines innovation"? Red Hat submitted some amici regarding cases such as In Re Bilski, but what about Europe? So my question is, what is Red Hat's take on the unitary patent in the EU?Jan 18 21:50

schestowitz"xxxxx sent me some more photos earlier (I didn't even ask, but she's so kind). Just to let you know, she gave me a compliment today: "your goodness and your kindness means a lot to me." That's pleasant to hear from somewhat whom I scarcely know in person.Jan 18 23:02

schestowitzAnd "it is so obvious the way I observed when you had a long conversation with xxxxx," she said.Jan 18 23:04
qu1j0t3schestowitz: :)Jan 18 23:04
schestowitzit's part of something much longer:Jan 18 23:11
schestowitz"Don't mistake my criticism of people's behaviour with generalisations. I judge people individually based on how they treat others. There is a part of me which compels me to help people in distress because I wish to think that they/other do would help me in the future even when I cannot reciprocate."Jan 18 23:11
schestowitz"I sometimes do people massive favours if I think it can make them happy and help them out (not just for friends but strangers too). I sacrifice my own personal schedules for it and reassure myself that I can do the right thing selflessly. My friend Joey, originally drom Malaysia (he has been a surgeon here for like a decade) had a relative of his visit here and I spent days trying to help her move out of her current hall of Jan 18 23:12
schestowitzresidence because she was miserable there."Jan 18 23:12
schestowitz" Her whole university degree was at stake and Joey could not help her because he worked 9 to 5. I stepped in to use my connections in Manchester University and resolve this, comprising a day's biking trip with Mike. That was a few months ago and there are other recent examples."Jan 18 23:12
schestowitz" I let someone lodge around while she was at times insultingly rude (e.g. would give me a hard time for being reasonable nice and humanistic to another human). It's a fellow human being who does try to find full-time employment (depressing for sure when in financial crisis). She sends many job applications and needed me to provide harbour."Jan 18 23:13
schestowitz"Anyway, perhaps I'm stretching my favours too far sometimes, but at least nobody can discredit me for being egocentric. If I see someone in need of help, then even if it's hard I offer help and it makes me feel as though I did the right thing (even if at cost to myself). It's a value I learned from my father, who used to volunteer in all sorts of operations and also help disable kids. He set an example for me."Jan 18 23:14
schestowitz"Sometimes I think that few of my good friend are being unreasonable about the subject. If I extend an arm to truly help someone in need of support (as in this case), then I get called a sucker for comprising money and convenience; if I ask for the situation to also be hardly even beneficial to me, then I get called exploitative (when in fact the only exploitative party here -- if any -- is the one in crisis). "Jan 18 23:14
schestowitz"Situations like these are not selfless, but being reminded on occasions that I do the right thing by helping a fellow human being in distress (as in the philosophy I preach in my sites) makes it worthwhile. When life ends people remember us by or good deeds, or lack thereof. I am not a sociopath and I know what sociopaths can be like."Jan 18 23:14
schestowitz"The millionaires who throw out a nickel do it for PR, but those who are themselves feeling the squeeze and still help fellow citizens deserve all the credit (they they rarely get any because they're incognito)."Jan 18 23:15
schestowitzon another matter:Jan 18 23:17
schestowitz"The last time I was at the dentist I was about 17 and it was because she wanted me to do some sort of whitening procedure, which was a load of nonsense really (in this case) and utterly unnecessary. I still don't have any tooth fillings. I guess I got my dad's teeth (genes)."Jan 18 23:17
schestowitz"Jan 18 23:19
schestowitz> How is your ankle?anything change,are they much better?Jan 18 23:20
