schestowitzHe makes a good point. No use in giving them away to people who won't use them and have them go straight into a rubbish pile. They are cheap enough for most people in developed countries to buy.Jun 17 12:51
schestowitzIf you are going to fund anything then get then into schools in developing countries where they will be better valuedJun 17 12:51

schestowitz> Hey Roy,I've been trying to convince the Belgian press, politicians and everything in between them that Microsoft should be investigated. Hardly any response of politicians. But now some high profile dude of 'De Morgen" challenged me by saying so you are are having a crusade on Microsoft, write a book about it Of course in a cynical way but then he said: if you come up with something we will give it the fair evaluation weather we Jun 17 18:37
schestowitzpublish it or not.Jun 17 18:37
schestowitz> Jun 17 18:37
schestowitz> It would be nice to have a verifiable source to investigate. It would be more easy to work directly from a database then to consult the site all the time. Any help is welcome of course. My topic: who protects Microsoft in Belgium / Europe. Jun 17 18:37
schestowitz> I don't know if it's affordable for me to create a Techrights mirror, but I am interested to do so.Jun 17 18:37
schestowitzIn the information war the corporations have much more fire power. They have deeper pocket and many PR agencies whose services they utilise. They also buy politicians or hammer them with their lobbyists (Microsoft has known lobbyists in Belgium). Fighting the propaganda of corporations is never easy; if it was, then people would have shared the methods. To muddy their public image is probably the best one can do to raise awareness.Jun 17 18:37
schestowitzOne way to help Techrights is to contribute articles and thus spreading the message further; another option is, article translations. We have no French translation of anything, not even Comes exhibits.Jun 17 18:37

schestowitzFor articles that touch on Belgium or Holland it might be worth making such translation. Google search on the site can bring up relevant articles that are of interest to Dutch-speaking people. We'll set up a Dutch portal for the site. :-)Jun 17 22:22
