schestowitz"Getting new games, and particularly AAA games on GNU/Linux is good for all the Penguin community. Now the graphic cards are better supported. Thank you Valve !"Oct 11 03:36
schestowitz"I'm not convinced this is good for Free Software. I see how people that simply want to use GNU/Linux and don't care about freedom issues can benefit but that will just eventually lead to an ecosystem of distros that are no longer Free Software."Oct 11 03:36
schestowitz"Sure, but this allready happens. The Communities are getting drowned in ignorant end-users, also try to count the endless numbers of 'distros' that are just Ubuntu with steam preinstalled and a different default wallpaper. I suppose we have to live with that now. The good side is, that a fraction of the development and money that's now thrown at Linux-development actually gets to Free-Software projects. And a fraction is everythingOct 11 03:36
schestowitzthey/we asked for. Still there will be people learning about it and appreciating the whole thing, even if it is and only will be a small part. You can improve People only by that much."Oct 11 03:36
