Gemini version available ♊︎Quick Mention: Microsoft’s FOSS Invasion Continues. Next Target: Python
Might organisers ever learn to decline sponsorships and reject attendance? Given Microsoft's plan to subvert Free software, they should. But on the face of it, based on the following press release, Microsoft is also intruding Pycon 2008.
Zenoss Joins Google, Microsoft and Sun as Sponsor of Pycon 2008
Microsoft will be there only to serve Microsoft. Recent examples include Java, Eclipse, Apache and OSBC, among many others. Arguments back then were made to show why Microsoft does this (look inside the links for further details). █

Any idea how do we stop their invasion ?
They are the trojan horse.
Is there any way to counter them ??

The best solution, in my humble opinion, is to present evidence and to inform those who have Microsoft sing love songs to them. Many people remain unaware of Microsoft’s plan (behind the grin) because the media fails to cover incidents from which it would rather shy away. Lots of it will have people believe that Microsoft has changed it ways, perhaps only because disguise of misbehavior has improved.

What sort of nerve did we hit now that you felt entitle to add such irrelevant statement to the conversation?
