Gemini version available ♊︎Giving Awards to Raytheon Won’t Help Red Hat’s Image
It might, however, help keep those military contracts coming
Summary: This morning’s revelations from Red Hat aren’t particularly pacifying or calming (except to the war industry)
#redhat gives AWARD to #Raytheon
Got to keep those military contracts coming, #ibm

#redhat has love letters with lipstick to #Raytheon
And #systemd for the rest of us. So when our systems (I mean… our systemd) break down in a mysterious fashion we'll pay #ibm the #patent bully for support contracts (per CPU, just like #microsoft )…— Dr. Roy Schestowitz (罗伊) (@schestowitz) April 24, 2020
Tactlessly enough #redhat 'daddy' #ibm called/named its big product after nazi collaborator, Watson
If they hide their past, they aren't doing it too well
Hugo Boss is also still called…. Hugo Boss
Whose boss?
Don't ask.— Dr. Roy Schestowitz (罗伊) (@schestowitz) April 24, 2020
#redhat never liked the 'community'
It liked the community's GPL-licensed code
And its money (where it existed)
Red Hat is now with the "Big leagues"
Giving awards to war criminals and working for #ibm , #microsoft …https://t.co/g0b7WhSz0I— Dr. Roy Schestowitz (罗伊) (@schestowitz) April 24, 2020
When I joined current employer about a decade ago colleague told me #ibm had become like a "bank" selling loans for over-expensive mainframes, giving companies overpriced things they did not even need.
Power of branding and bribes (kickback form)?— Dr. Roy Schestowitz (罗伊) (@schestowitz) April 24, 2020
