Bonum Certa Men Certa

Weeks of DDOS Attacks Simply Mean We're Effective and This Illegal DDOS Campaign Won't Discourage Techrights

Quite the contrary! As attacks intensify we know we're getting warmer (close to the heart of important issues).

Internet

Summary: Internet attacks on this site aren't a new thing, but over the past few weeks and especially in recent days these attacks intensified and we take that as a badge of honour

THE site has been under DDOS attacks, on and off, for a number of weeks. In recent days these attacks intensified, but we already have mitigation mechanisms and these barely require any manual effort.

"Well, the way things stand, after more than a decade of attacks we're quite robust even without a dedicated CDN and we can cope with just about any kind of attack. We're technical people with experience and resilience."It's not easy to determine who's behind it and what the motivation may be. Maybe the European Patent Office (EPO) realised its block of the site (inside the Office network) isn't effective or maybe some companies we criticise aren't happy to see negative publicity. Maybe they're in it for "revenge" or an effort to cause damage, to distract, to demoralise etc.

Well, the way things stand, after more than a decade of attacks we're quite robust even without a dedicated CDN and we can cope with just about any kind of attack. We're technical people with experience and resilience. The attackers are wasting their own time, not ours, and in the process they basically signal to us that "we're on the right track" or "we must be doing something effective..."

"As EPO insiders may tell us, we're dealing with "Mafia" here; this is what they call EPO management."So, whoever you are attacking the site, knock yourself/ves out. Better get something productive to do with your time. You barely waste ours. We're not an easy target.

As a side note, remember that we're not banned anywhere (not even in China), except the EPO, Europe's most corrupt and autocratic institution, which even managed to blackmail and bribe the media... to the point where it ignores corruption in Europe's second-largest institution. The block is now over half a decade old; no explanation was given for it, even when questions were asked (the block has been imposed for over two years by the 'kind' and 'gentle' António Campinos, not just Benoît Battistelli). As EPO insiders may tell us, we're dealing with "Mafia" here; this is what they call EPO management.
