[05:23] schestowitz yes, temporary issue amid transitions [05:26] Techrights-sec \ [05:26] Techrights-sec ok, it looks like it'll take a bit to settle in to the bridged mode. [05:26] Techrights-sec That's one of th indicators that it's not actually true federation. [05:26] Techrights-sec Back in a few hours. ● Jun 01 [06:27] *rianne_ (~rianne@host81-154-169-167.range81-154.btcentralplus.com) has joined #boycottnovell [06:28] *rianne has quit (Read error: Connection reset by peer) [06:36] *saint_dogbert has quit (Quit: Leaving) ● Jun 01 [10:40] Techrights-sec cron doesn't have a convenient 'last day of the month' setting [10:40] Techrights-sec then there are leap years [10:40] Techrights-sec so maybe only the 1st of each month would be the way to go, if automating [10:40] Techrights-sec clearing of the previous month's logs [10:40] Techrights-sec should one month of back logs be kept and the ones that are two months old [10:40] Techrights-sec be deleted instead? [10:40] Techrights-sec That way there would be a little time to study them. [10:41] schestowitz yes, that would require modifying the purge script to have some variable with for "2 months ago" or whatever, then do a wildcard on them every 1st of the month. Probably the best way to go. Then, if it's run every on a nightly basis, fine, as it would delete nothing. The problem is when we delete an open file, as the file ID is still associated with an open file of the systemd service. ● Jun 01 [11:34] *MinceR has quit (Ping timeout: 245 seconds) [11:35] *MinceR (mincer@unaffiliated/mincer) has joined #boycottnovell ● Jun 01 [15:16] Techrights-sec https://joindiaspora.com/posts/20883842 [15:16] Techrights-sec s/NOW/NOT/ [15:16] Techrights-sec common typo [15:16] -TechrightsBN/#boycottnovell-@schestowitz@joindiaspora.com: "....looking to do its part to mitigate global patent risk for OSS, said Keith Bergelt... hey Keith, how about working towards ELIMINATING #swpat ?
