yesterday i thought about adding "number of unique requests for the day" in Gemini but then changed my mind as it's rather meaningless (spiders straw laterally) and more reasons... the protocol is so limited that it's hard to 'enhance' a capsule except add more pages to it (which I guess is also a good thing)

Yes, that's the general idea. It's becoming easier to maintain and harder to take down/censor. In due course it's also vastly simpler to mirror, which is maybe the next phase. If you want to host a mirror in South America and have a spare/existing machine that can do Gemini (it's SUPER-light), I can deploy everything to it over SSH in a matter of hours. We did this before in Tasmania. It even had its own domain name while it lasted.
