[03:52] schestowitz[TR2] Accepting a job offer with IBM Consulting is wont be any different than accepting a comparable job offer anywhere else in these days and times. You should deliver some kind of result or set of results within your first 90 days. Come up with some brainless productivity use case with AI for your project team. Or get in front of a client quickly to present an impactful idea, no matter how small it is. Just deliver something, anythi

[19:25] schestowitz[TR2] The only reason to accept a job at IBM is if there is absolutely nothing else available and you need the money. If its your first job out of school, use them for some experience, but do not stay for long. IBM will use you, treat you like garbage and tell you to your face its a "good thing for you" then throw you away when they no longer need you. So as long as you go into it with the mindset of treating them the way they will treat
[19:25] schestowitz[TR2] you, you wont suffer too badly. Also, ignore the pro-IBM troll on here. They are spewing lies and they likely dont even work for IBM.

[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] "6202 packages" should be "6202 problems".

[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] > by developers.
[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] I made a mistake here. 530 is an estimate of high or critical
[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] vulnerabilities. "Estimate" is an odd thing to say, because Anthropic
[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] itself is sending reports to maintainers. The explanation is that
[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] some maintainers requested full disclosure of all potential issues
[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] discovered. 1129 issues were disclosed in this manner and this set
[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] is disjoint from the 1092 vetted. Mythos gave 175 as an estimate of
[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] the number of high or critical vulnerabilities in the 1129.
[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] That means that 355 (= 530 - 175) of the disclosures originated from
[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] the 1092 vetted.
[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] By my calculation there should be 737 (= 1092 - 355) problems awaiting
[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] disclosure, not 562.
[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] I wrote:
[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] > The numbers 1900, 1726 and 467 which appear in the summary chart do

[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] This is because the text discusses high or critical vulnerabilities
[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] while the chart counts all vulnerabilities regardless of severity.
[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] I don't see falsified figures, but find this confusing.
[20:40] schestowitz[TR2] To provide additional sets of figures for those who would find finer
