5 Key Reasons Why You Need an OpenZFS Performance Audit
    [23:50] schestowitz[TR2]
    [23:50] schestowitz[TR2]

The demand for storage is constantly growingand for more than just capacity, as applications and workloads continually demand more IOPS and lower latencies. To expand your storage infrastructure to meet these evolving demands, you must understand where the limits of your current system lie. Only then can you plan to expand to provide the capacity, durability, and performance that modern [23:50] schestowitz[TR2] applications demand.

How to Install and Configure OpenVPN Server on Ubuntu 22.04
    [23:50] schestowitz[TR2]
    [23:50] schestowitz[TR2]

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) allows you to access the internet by masking your location, allowing you to access the internet safely on untrusted networks and circumvent geographical restrictions and censorship. OpenVPN is an open-source Transport Layer Security (TLS) VPN solution to achieve this goal.

    [23:50] schestowitz[TR2]

In our tutorial, we will install OpenVPN on a Ubuntu 22.04 server, configure it to be accessible from a client machine, and create a VPN connection between them to redirect all the traffic from the client through the OpenVPN server.

    Plotting AI-generated art onto paper
    [23:58] schestowitz[TR2]
    [23:58] schestowitz[TR2]

This pen plotter works with DALL-E 2, which is a popular AI art generator model from OpenAI. Like most AI art models, DALL-E 2 costs money to use. But OpenAI gives users 50 free credits to start and another 15 free credits each month. Oaks utilizes the DALL-E 2 API to generate a new piece of art using the credits he has available, then plots that image onto paper.

    [23:58] schestowitz[TR2]

The pen plotter in question is a DIY machine that Oaks constructed using linear rails, stepper motors, and an Arduino Uno board with a CNC Shield that runs Grbl firmware. The computer connected to the Arduino takes the DALL-E 2-generated art in bitmap format and converts it to vector art, which contains line paths. It then translates those line paths into g-code that the Grbl firmware can [23:58] schestowitz[TR2] understand, so the plotter can draw the lines.

A CNC pen plotter with very unusual kinematics
    [23:58] schestowitz[TR2]
    [23:58] schestowitz[TR2]

Scribble Buddys structure is a combination of wood and 3D-printed mechanical parts. On the electronics side, it uses an Arduino Mega 2560 board to control the two wheel stepper motors and the servo motor that lifts the pen. Hall Effect sensors give Scribble Buddy closed-loop feedback for precise positioning. The control interface consists of an LCD screen, a sliding potentiometer, a rot [23:58] schestowitz[TR2] ary encoder, and a joystick. Scribble Buddy accepts standard G-code and uses formulas to convert the commands into wheel rotation that works for this kinematic system.
